1. The first step is to download the Subaru Starlink app on your smartphone. The app is compatible with both Apple and Android phones.
2. Once the app is downloaded and running, it's time to configure all of the cool features. You set up each one in basically the same manner. When you are within one feature, you can access the others by tapping on the settings key in the lower left hand side of your screen.
3.1. For Weather, tap the weather icon and then tap configure button located on the top right hand corner of the screen. Search for your city. Once the city is located, press the plus icon on the right. To remove a region, press the "X" button next to it.
3.2. For Calendar, tap the calendar icon arrow and then press the configure button in the top right hand corner of the screen. From there, you can login to you Google account and sync your calendar.
3.3. For News, tap the news icon. From there you get to setup your personalized preferred news sources by both adding other sources and deleting sources that have been pre-selected.
4. Next up is pairing your smartphone to your vehicle. Make sure the app is up and running on your phone and then start your vehicle. Press the phone icon located in the top right corner of your Starlink dashboard.
5. A message will display telling you there is no phone connected and that you need to add a new device. Push the OK/Yes button. Push "Add" located in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Turn your Bluetooth on in the settings of your phone and search for devices. A will code pop up on your phone. Make sure that the code on your phone matches the one on your dashboard. Touch pair on your phone. If you are successful the car dashboard will show you that you have been successful.
